Onboarding Journey

The onboarding journey involves the initial registration of a user, where their identity is verified through a series of checks, including document verification and biometric capture. This process captures and securely stores key data, such as selfie images and reference numbers, which serve as the baseline for future verification needs.

Ongoing Verification Journey

The ongoing verification journey is designed for reauthentication scenarios. It focuses on validating the identity of users by comparing their current selfie image against the biometric data captured during the onboarding journey. This ensures continuity and trust, enabling secure interactions at every stage of the user lifecycle.

How to Use This Product

1. Configure the Verification Flow

Access the Flow Builder in the IDWise Admin Portal.
Create a custom Ongoing Verification flow that includes only the selfie step.
Save and publish the flow for immediate use.

2. Trigger Selfie Capture

Utilize the IDWise Standard SDK to initiate the selfie capture step. This step is identical to the one used during the onboarding journey.
Follow SDK documentation guidelines to ensure proper implementation.

3. Pass the Reference Number

During the verification process, provide the same reference number that was assigned during the user’s onboarding journey.
This reference number allows the system to retrieve the onboarding selfie for comparison against the spot check selfie

4. Set Up Webhook Notifications

Configure webhooks to receive real-time notifications for each verification attempt.
