Flow-Level Configuration Documentation
The Flow-Level Configuration section provides options to customize key settings for the onboarding flow. Below is an overview of the configurable options:
1. Allow "Continue Later"
- Description: Enables users to exit the onboarding session and return to complete it later.
- Configuration: Toggle the switch ON or OFF.
- ON: Activates the "Continue Later" option, allowing users to pause the onboarding process on the mobile SDK and resume later from where they left off.
- OFF: Requires users to complete all onboarding steps in a single session to reach the Done button on the mobile SDK.
2. Step Max Retry Count
- Description: Defines the maximum number of retries a user is allowed to fix errors encountered during a specific step (e.g., expired documents, unsupported document types, etc.).
- Configuration: Enter a numeric value to set the retry limit.

allows users to retry the step up to two times before the process fails.

3. Desktop Transitioning Options
- Description: Configures how users starting the onboarding process on a desktop browser will proceed to complete their verification.
- Configuration Options:
- Switch to mobile web to complete the verification (Recommended):
- Redirects users to the mobile web by displaying a QR code on the desktop for scanning. This is the recommended option for ensuring optimal performance and capturing high-quality images.
- Continue on desktop:
- Allows users to complete the process on the desktop by uploading files or using the desktop camera. Note: Desktop cameras often have lower resolution, which could impact verification quality.
- Let the user choose desktop or mobile web:
- Offers users the choice to either remain on the desktop or transition to the mobile web for verification, accommodating individual preferences.
- Switch to the IDWise mobile app to complete the verification:
- Redirects users to the IDWise mobile app to finish the verification process, providing a seamless and secure experience tailored for mobile devices.
- Switch to mobile web to complete the verification (Recommended):
4. Flow-Level Business Rules Configuration
The Flow-Level Business Rules section allows you to define specific rules to ensure the integrity and compliance of the onboarding process. Below are the configurable options for this section:
1. Prevent Duplicate Documents
- Description: Ensures that each ID document is submitted only once throughout the onboarding process, preventing duplicates across multiple steps.
- Configuration:
- Toggle: Turn this setting ON to activate the rule that prohibits users from submitting the same document more than once during the process.
- Behavior: When enabled, duplicate submissions of the same ID document will be flagged and rejected, ensuring data integrity.
2. Minimum Age Rule
- Description: Enforces a minimum age requirement for applicants. If disabled, no age restrictions will be applied.
- Configuration:
- Toggle: Turn this setting ON to enforce an age limit for applicants.
- Options:
- Default Age Threshold (18 years): Automatically rejects users younger than 18 years of age.
- Custom Age Threshold (13–99 years): Set a custom minimum age by entering a value within the allowed range (13 to 99 years). Applicants younger than the specified age will be rejected.
